Product Description
The Samsung SMX-C10 is ideal for those on the go, and offers an impressive 10x optical zoom paired with Hyper Image Stabilization to help reduce blurry footage. It features a 230,000-dot, swiveling 2.7-inch wide LCD screen, which allows users to effortlessly frame their subjects and review their footage. Similar to the full-HD HMX-R10, the SMX-C10s boast Samsung's Active Angle Lens. This unique design helps reduce fatigue by allowing consumers to grip the camcorder in a more relaxed manner, easing the overall stress on their wrist and elbow. Unlike traditional camcorders, the relaxed grip also removes the LCD screen from the user's line of sight, enabling them to always keep an eye on their subject while recording. The SMX-C10 does not feature internal memory and requires the use of SD/SDHC media. It also offers substantial battery life, providing more than two hours and forty minutes of record time on a single charge. The SMX-C10 also incorporate Samsung's play-edit-sharing program called intelli studio. The built-in intelli-studio program allows consumers to connect the camcorder to any computer via USB and edit and play their video without having to install supporting software. intelli-studio also facilitates the process of uploading users' content to popular video sharing Web sites. For added convenience, a one-touch "upload" button, available directly on the SMX-C10, provides a direct connection to YouTube, further reducing the number of steps needed to upload footage. In addition, the camcorder also allows basic on-camera editing, including the ability to merge and split video files.

4 out of 5 stars video of camera in action.   June 13, 2010

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3DZ46DBEI1UHO Here is a video I shot from the rear deck of my Spec Miata using an IO port racing mount with poly bushings. Settings were sport mode with anti shake turned on. I seem to get a better quality picture with anti-shake turned off.

It would be awesome if I could buy a remote for this camera, it's hard to control it when I'm belted in. Instead I have been turning the camera on in paddock and just clipping out the portions of the video of me sitting on grid. It's light weight, easy to configure and control, and being able to drop video to my laptop on track is perfect.

5 out of 5 stars Great Fun Little Camcorder!   June 7, 2010
Dr.Maxx (Somewhere in the mountains of NM)
I got a great deal on this camera with a Gold Box offer. I originally was looking at those one-button video cams before I found this deal. With the 100 clams price and all the features this camera has, it was a no-brainer to pick this one. The ergonomic angled lens really makes it comfortable to shoot a lot of video. The SDHC card format is perfect for my laptop and the editing software right in the camera is so convenient and saves time. The battery life has been fine for me, but I usually take only short clips, don't use the zoom too often, and try to avoid playing the clips over and over in the display. Those tips will give you a lot more battery time. The quality of the video is good, but don't expect HD video quality! My videos look good on my HDTV and are better quality than my old JVC digital tape camcorder. The time-lapse feature is really cool! I haven't tried uploading to YouTube yet but have had no problems transferring videos to my PC. This camera is very simple to use, has lots of fun features, and is small enough to fit in a pants pocket. It's a little bigger than a bar of soap. I sometimes keep it in my cargo shorts pocket when hiking, but don't expect it to fit comfortably in any tight fitting jeans pocket! It's perfect for what I wanted: a small video camera to carry on vacation trips, camping, fishing, or just out playing with my dogs. I think the negative reviews for this camera are from folks that were expecting much more than what this camera already offers. No, it doesn't have night vision, a flash, a lens cover, or work with Macs, among other complaints, but the description never listed those features so why give it a negative rating? It looks more expensive than it was, it takes good video, it's easy to use, I have fun with it, and I think it was a great buy! That's five stars as I see it!

5 out of 5 stars Good Camera For Youtube   June 3, 2010

This review is from my daugher after I bought the camera for her birthday. "This is a very good camera for loading things on Youtube. It does have its faults like battery life and makes little noises when filming. The built in software didn't work with my computer but other than that I love the camera. It is the perfect size. I can take it with me anywhere. I also like that I can record in seconds. I never miss a moment anymore."

5 out of 5 stars Samsung C-10 Video Camera   May 28, 2010

I don't think a person will find a better camera at this price. In fact, the picture quality is better than cameras costing a lot more. Not going to comment on features/specificatios, (YOU should already know what YOU'RE buying).THAT being said, this is a "Can't Go Wrong Purchase" !

4 out of 5 stars Handy, dandy little camcorder   May 16, 2010
R. Pelch (in a happy frame of mind)
Not being a high tech kind of person, I was a little nervous buying this item. Not to worry. The ergonomic design of this camcorder appealed to me as well as its ease of use. Took it on vacation and loved it. Able to record through the car window, zoom in for closer shots. The picture quality is quite good. I'm still learning its many features. With its handy size I took it everywhere with me. My husband and I had a ball with this camcorder. Not fancy or big, but like Goldilocks porridge, it is just right.
